I am Kate, the artist behind The Wedding Palette by Kate.

I’ve always been drawn to capturing life exactly as it is—real, raw, and full of meaning. As a realism artist and Colorado native, my journey has taken me from sketching as a kid to teaching art, and now to something even more immersive—live wedding painting. There’s nothing quite like the energy of a wedding day, the way emotions unfold in real time, the fleeting moments that deserve to be preserved.

Colorado’s mountains have always been home to me, and one of the best parts of my work is getting to paint in the middle of that beauty. Whether it’s an intimate ceremony tucked into an aspen grove or a grand celebration under a wide-open sky, I love being surrounded by nature as I bring each scene to life. And if you see me swaying to the music while I paint—well, that’s just who I am. I can’t help but dance when there’s good music and a love story unfolding right in front of me.
